The one week experiment

Seven days of the full loop on one page, before you commit to anything.

How to use it

Run this for a week before paying for any app in this category, ours included. It answers the only question that matters at the start, which is whether a one minute morning and a two minute evening actually happen in a normal week of your life. If they do not, no software fixes that.

One week experiment

Morning line, one step with a trigger, evening rating out of five, one line on what happened.

One sentence. The same one all week.
When X happens, I will do Y. Something that happens every day whether you like it or not.
One row a day. A rating with no words is a complete entry on a bad day.

Read the seven rows rather than recalling them. Memory over-weights the last two days.
Ambiguity, setup cost, size, timing, emotional cost, wrong target or wrong goal. Each has a different fix.
Three early finishes means increase it. Three misses means halve it.
Answer it plainly. Changing direction because you learned something is not failure.

Common questions

What is the one week experiment?

Seven days of a full daily practice on a single sheet, used to find out whether the rhythm fits your life before committing to a longer run or paying for an app.

What if I miss a day?

Nothing resets. Leave the row blank and carry on. A record of the days that did not happen is useful information at the end of the week.

What should the daily step be?

Something specific, finishable inside the day you already have, and pointed at the actual obstacle rather than the most comfortable adjacent task.
